The Paris 2018 Gay Games will be a Celebration of Diversity, including 15,000 participants, 36 sports, 14 cultural events, 2 ceremonies, 1 village, and a sports conference.
Read on to learn more about Kevin Yang, his friends and their accomplishments in the past few years. We really hope you’ll join them on their trip to #Paris2018!

Hi Kevin, would you tell our readers a little about yourself?
In the last 2 years I have been the organiser and responsible person behind the “LGBT+ Sports of the Taiwan Gay Men’s Games”.
On December 10, 2016, World Human Rights Day, my Taiwanese comrades and I organised a gay concert in front of the Presidential Office to fight for marriage equality. Much planning went into this as we set up a live parade and audiovisual equipment/people throughout the event. You can view our videos here:

2017 began with a plan to “find the rainbow outside”. We are planning to travel in a ring around Taiwan Island, visiting 120 townships and cities in 60 days and exchanging life stories with the people we meet. The theme is “Let Love Continue to Continue”.
In March 2018, the Taiwan Gay Sports and Gay Development Movement Association was established to represent Taiwan, as we plan our travel to Paris to participate in the 2018 Gay Games.
What is the name of the team that you organize or work for? What is your team name for the Paris 2018 Gay Games?
I am currently working full time for the “Taiwanese Comrades Sports Development Association”. Our Paris team name is Team TAIWAN from Taiwan
Is there an LGBT+ league in Asia for this sport?
There are currently no LGBT+ sports leagues in Taiwan, and none that I am aware of in Asia.
How did you first get involved or hear of the Gay Games?
In 2017 Mr. Leviathan Hendricks participated in the “Gay Taiwan Games”, and publicly introduced and invited Taiwan locals to the Paris 2018 Gay Game.
Why do you think it is important to have LGBT+ sports teams?
It’s quite important! Participating in gay sporting events and gay social movements increases awareness and understanding of gay communities to the Taiwanese people. Increasing the recognition of gay identity in Taiwanese society is key to our fight for marriage equality, amongst a host of other reasons.
Why do you and your teammates want to go to #Paris2018?
It will be amazing to participate in the 2018 Gay Games in Paris for the first time in the name of Taiwan. This will be a way to connect with comrades from around the world.
How do people contact you or the team?
WeChat: ID muyuchai
Tel.: +886 908772839 +886-2-2755-4455
Let’s send Taiwan to Paris with our full support! Connect with Kevin Yang and join him and his friends on their journey to meet and participate in all the sports and cultural events  #Paris2018 has to offer! You can also join Gay Games 11 Hong Kong 2022’s Facebook Group to connect with local people in your area and learn more about participating.

Hong Kong Companies Ordinance Amendment 2018: Significant Controller Register and Designated Representative

In today’s business world, there is a greater than ever demand for transparency. Primasia Corporate Services, as well as other companies incorporated in Hong Kong, will need to follow new regulations that took effect on March 1, 2018, with the changes in regards to the Significant Controller Register (SCR) and Designated Representative (DR) within each of those companies. The changes are known as the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance Agreement 2018 and are there to paint a clearer picture of the corporate beneficial ownership within each company that incorporates and does business in Hong Kong.
The new Ordinance has a lot of details included, and it begins with each company being asked to clearly define the people who have significant control over their company. This also means that an up to date SCR must be maintained, with the details contained within made available to law enforcement officers should the need arise.
23800235 – stand out from the crowd and different concept , light man standing with arms wide open with other people
A Designated Representative has to be named, with the person chosen expected to be able to assist law enforcement officers whenever they need information pertaining to the SCR. The Significant Controller Register is expected to be updated whenever changes are made, and the details of the SCR need to be held in the registered office of each company, or in a prescribed location within Hong Kong.
In order to be deemed a significant controller, that person or entity needs to meet at least one specific condition outlines in the ordinance. These conditions include the following:
  • Own more than 25% of the shares issued by the company, either directly or indirectly.
  • Has more than 25% of the voting rights in the company, which can again be either directly or indirectly.
  • Is able to appoint or remove members of most of the board of directors.
  • Can, or already does, hold a significant amount of influence on the decisions made within the company.
Those are just a few or the requirements needed to become a significant controller, and while things are not quite so strict when choosing the DR, there are still condition in place, which includes:
  • A company employee, member, or director of the company who is native to Hong Kong.
  • A professional in the accounting or legal profession.
It should be noted that if there is no-one within the company who meets the requirements of the DR, a third-party service provider is allowed to fill the role.
Failing to comply with the new requirements is a criminal offence, a company, as well as every responsible person within, can be subjected to a fine of $25,000. Transparency is very serious business, and this new Ordinance, as well as the fines attached to it, prove just how serious it is. Primasia Corporate Services has taken every step to ensure that our clients are compliant with the new Ordinance. If you have any questions or need our support, we would be happy to assist.
