Classical music is more than something that’s pleasing to the ear, in fact listening to it has a lot of perks… some that might surprise you! So keep reading and learn how listening to Classical Masterpieces by artists such as Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Max Bruch, Richard Strauss, and Johannes Brahms can help you to become smarter, healthier, and better able to get a good night's sleep.

Listening to classical music can help you lower your blood pressure. It’s true! There was a study done a few years back that concluded that “Participants who listened to classical music had significantly lower post-task systolic blood pressure levels”.

Whether you are an insomniac who has a hard time falling asleep, or a restless sleeper that can’t quite reach the depths of REM sleep needed to adequately function, this study showed that classical music can help you sleep better, deeper, and overall improve sleep quality.


Say goodbye (or at least help diminish) pain by cueing up your favorite classical music. This 2006 study found that people with chronic pain felt better and had decreased pain after listening to music. Music can be a powerful rehabilitation tool!

It’s true, listening to classical music may increase your IQ. This study showed that participants who listened to Mozart’s Sonata for just 10 minutes demonstrated IQ scores that were 10 points higher than before listening to Mozart. How is this possible? Classical music is believed to enhance the brain’s spatial-temporal reasoning-- ie cognitive understanding. Skeptical? Maybe, but it doesn’t hurt to add a few minutes of classical music to your daily routine.

Creating Inclusive Workplaces for LGBT+ Employees




Gay Games Hong Kong 2022 would like to wish you a very Happy New Year! As we begin a fresh chapter in the new year, many are seeking to create resolutions to better themselves. Typically these resolutions are personal goals, such as losing weight, quitting a bad habit, and/or learning a new skill-- but why stop there? This year, why not work to create a more inclusive workplace environment for all?! Workplaces that have policies specifically protecting employees who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT+) against discrimination are not yet common in Asia, which makes working to support these minorities even more important. Whether you own your own company, are a business leader, or are one of the working billions just trying to keep a roof over your head-- these simple steps can help everyone feel welcome and included. Lastly, creating an inclusive workplace environment for all is simply the right thing to do in general. Driving diversity matters for all of us- not only the LGBT+ community. Diversity and equality for all should be the norm, rather than the exception.
