Polestar Pilates Asia Educator and Mentor Meeting


 
Polestar Pilates Asia provides the best in Pilates Instructor education throughout Asia. Recently we hosted our Polestar Pilates Asia Educator and Mentor Meeting- we host such workshops periodically during the year to ensure that our students get the best support in the Pilates Teacher industry. Our 2-day Mentor Meeting took place in Macau at the Sheraton where we had 110 Educators, Mentors and Mentors-in-training in attendance! The workshop was led by Polestar Pilates Curriculum Director Shelly Power and Polestar Pilates Asia Director of Education Dawnna Wayburne with fantastic support from senior educators Samantha Robinson and Ervin Paunan. A great time was had by all and we achieved our objective of updating our hard-working team. We look forward to meeting everyone again at the next Polestar workshop! We’d also like to give a big thanks to Ceci from Pilates house in Macau who was a big help in organizing the event.


We were absolutely thrilled to have Polestar Pilates Curriculum Director and Master Educator Shelly Power co-leading our Polestar Pilates Asia Educator and Mentor Meeting. Shelly Power teaches nationally and internationally for Polestar Pilates, and administers exams, conducts Pilates workshops and Polestar Educator trainings worldwide. She is a frequent presenter at international fitness and Pilates conferences. In her role as Curriculum Director, Shelly brings a unique and fresh approach to the work of Joseph Pilates. Shelly danced professionally for 12 years and received her BS degree in Dance from California State University, Sacramento, where she served on the faculty from 1992-1998. Shelly is a PMA Certified Pilates Teacher, a member since its inception and currently serves as President of the Pilates Method Alliance Board of Directors.

This is why we make huge efforts to make sure we have a network of the best Mentors and Educators around Asia.   • A blazer, with or without a tie
  • Adding an accent with festive socks and/or tie.
  • Be sure to wear your best loafers or freshly shined shoes- details still matter!


Black Tie
It’s time to get fancy and break out the Tuxedo! These days there is a bit more leniency and a black suit, white button up shirt and black bow tie are typically acceptable- but to look your absolute best a Tuxedo is the way to go. If you really want to stand out, a midnight blue tuxedo or dinner suit is an on-trend way to look smooth for the occasion. For the Christmas Holidays, we might suggest a dark maroon or dark green- ask your tailor for advice!
