Edible Arrangements Hong Kong proudly supports “Pink Walk 2011” - join us!

Did you know that the youngest breast cancer patient in Hong Kong is just under 20 years of age? Did you know that 60 percent of those at risk of breast cancer are women aged between 40 and 59 years of age? And the risk even grows further as age increases? If these facts got your attention, then you must join the crusade to fight breast cancer!

The Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation or HKBCF is organizing the 7th annual walkathon dubbed as the “Pink Walk Against Breast Cancer.” The Pink Walk 2011 event is in support for various efforts on breast health education, patient support services, local breast cancer research as well as advocacy --- and your friends over here at Edible Arrangements Hong Kong (http://www.ediblearrangements.hk) are mighty proud to say that we are one of the sponsors of this annual event!

Edible Arrangements Hong Kong is a part of this great cause and it’s simply because we believe in women, in the role of women in society and in women empowerment. We believe that women play a vital role not only within the family (the basic unit of society) but also in the way we continue to strive to change the world for the better.

We’d like to stress that the Pink Walk is not only for women. Men and children must also join, too! After all, don’t virtually all of us benefit from the love and care that we all receive from the wonderful women in each of our lives?

So please come and join Pink Walk! Mark your calendars. October 9, 2011 (Sunday), 9 AM. Starting point is at Peak Road Garden, The Peak, Hong Kong. There will be two courses - the 3.5 kilometer route and the 7 kilometer route. If you’re going to bring children, the 3.5 kilometer route is suffice. Suitable for the whole family of young and old. Of course, don’t forget to bring your own Edible Arrangements fruit bouquet to keep you and your family nourished while you join the walk, okay?
