Future of Television event for SMWHK

Last February 14, 2012, a panel discussion on the future of television was held. It was one of the pocket events during the 4-day Social Media Week Hong Kong. The event saw the participation of several stakeholders including content managers, social network providers, traditional television producers and what is seemingly a fast rising bunch - social media television producers.
PRDA founder Douglas White was one of the speaker-panelists. They discussed various social media trends vis a vis the future of television. They also discussed social search optimization for increased brand presence, social media crisis management, internal social media strategy and other social media performance efforts that may or may not directly or indirectly affect the presence of television and the possible rise of social media television.

The Social Media Week Hong Kong held the theme “Leverage Digital Connectivity for Enhanced Engagement and Branding” and the event aimed to provide the platform for social media marketers and all those involved in the social media industry to discuss which avenues will best benefit the social media mix to enable companies to rebrand themselves as social businesses.

Douglas White of PRDA was a part of this event. As founder of PRDA, one of Hong Kong’s most established social media companies, he shared his knowledge about social media campaigns and how these are effectively carried out.
