So you finally got proposed to and are now happily engaged. Now the next question is - how soon should you prepare for your wedding? What should be the first few steps to take? As a bride to be, you need to know at least the most basic details with regard to your upcoming nuptials. While it’s convenient to just hire a professional wedding organizer, it will also be for your own peace of mind to also be aware of the things to be done, prepared for and accomplished before your big wedding day. Here’s a simple wedding bridal checklist that you might want to consider.
Roughly 12 to 18 months before your wedding day, you can already choose your photographer, your videographer, caterer and wedding venue. This way, you and your partner will already have a rough estimate of your budget. Also, if you don’t have engagement rings yet, why not purchase them at this time?
Now roughly 6 months before your wedding, it could help a lot if you already have a final list for your bridal party, bridesmaid dresses, florist, hair and make-up artist (make sure that you have set an appointment with him or her for a wedding hair and make-up tes.) and a wedding cake maker. Of course, it would also be ideal if by this time you already have your preferred wedding gown.
With only a few weeks before your wedding day, make sure that you have all other details ironed out. By this time, you’d need help not only from your bridesmaids, family and friends but it would be better if you get advice from a professional.
