Asian Youth Orchestra Summer Tour across Asia, 5-31 August 2016


Asian Youth Orchestra (AYO) is a globally prominent youth orchestra composed of professional musicians and young talented individuals originating from different regions of Asia. Since its inception in 1990, AYO has entertained millions of music lovers across the globe through concerts and tours. AYO has received worldwide acclamations and praise from different musical geniuses throughout its musical journey. This year, they are organizing a Summer Tour across Hong Kong, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Singapore, Hanoi, Taipei, Chiayi City, Nagoya, Ayase, and Tokyo from 5th to 31st August 2016 .The event brings together around hundred spirited and young performers, between the ages of 17 and 27 years, who will undergo a tough screening process and only the best 100 performers will be selected. Hence, the quality of music will be exceptionally high during this event, which marks the 26th anniversary of AYO summer festival.

Labelled as one of the most exciting orchestras in the world by San Francisco Chronicle, AYO is scheduled to perform at least seventeen concerts in different cities all over the Asian region during the summer season. The event will kick off with rehearsal camps arranged in Hong Kong till 4th August. On 5th and 6th August, Hong Kong audience will get the chance to witness unmatched skills in playing music with the conductors Richard Pontzious & James Judd. From 8th till 26th August, the orchestra will entertain the music lovers in Tianjin, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Hanoi, Taipei, Chiayi City, Nagoya and Ayase, respectively. The orchestra will conclude the tour in Tokyo with enthralling performances on 29th and 30th August, 2016.

The Asian Youth Orchestra (AYO) has mastered the various classical masterpieces of Beethoven, Hayden, and Mahler, and also includes musicians from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, the Philippines and Vietnam and various other Asian countries. Hence, you should expect to see a more diverse orchestra during the 2016 Summer Festival. This is one event you will definitely not want to miss.
