Petit Bazaar: Furnishings and Accessories that Satisfy European Sensibilities

When speech therapist Narguess Sousi, the founder of Petit Bazaar children’s boutiques in Central, Wan Chai and Stanley, moved to Hong Kong seven years ago, little did she imagine she would soon become French entrepreneur Narguess Sousi! After the birth of her daughters, Ms Sousi struggled to find children’s clothes, furnishings and accessories that satisfied her European sensibilities. She did not want nursery products heavily influenced by cartoon characters, or brands stereotypical to the luxury sector. What Ms. Sousi wanted access to were the stylish and creative goods she was used to in Paris, goods available at an approachable price so parents can use their imaginations to create a personal style with and for their children. And so began Petit Bazaar, offering  poetic, urban Parisian chic without the sky-high price tag!

Our stores are stocked with items that are not only stylish and of good quality but, most importantly, one-of-a-kind. The Petit Bazaar customer can set her own and her family’s style, knowing that the goods she has invested in are unique. The first Petit Bazaar was established in Central, in May 2010. A year later, we opened the Wan Chai store and, in March, the Stanley store followed. Each of the three boutiques has a unique personality, while sharing the same philosophy and mission to provide creative and stylish goods for families in an affordable price range and in a European-flavoured environment. The stores’ merchandise is environmentally friendly and ethically sourced: our commitment to the environment and to your family.

Petit Bazaar is also the exclusive Hong Kong retailer for many of the brands stocked, which include Anne Claire Petit, a fair-trade crochet range hand-made by village women in China; La cerise sur le gateau (a French illustrator); French wooden toy brand Janod; and Oeuf, an eco-design brand from New York city!
