Tips For Planning an Easter Themed Wedding

Easter represents renewal and growth- both perfect metaphors for a romantic wedding ceremony! Easter themed weddings are becoming increasingly popular with Spring newlyweds. Here are some tips and suggestions on how to plan a perfect Easter themed wedding that your guests will love!

There are many delicate, beautiful colors to choose from for an Easter themed wedding. Pastels are a very popular choice with light greens, yellows, and blues being very common. Creams and whites make for great accent colors, while turquoise or pink accents can add a little more excitement.

An Easter theme is easy to incorporate into wedding attire too! Lace or chiffon gowns are perfect for the glowing bride, while her hair can be delicately decorated with fresh spring flowers. Greys make for great colors for the groomsmen and will accent wedding colors perfectly. Bridesmaids can accent their dresses with light lace wraps or delicate flowers. Flower girls can also embrace the easter theme by carrying a basket of fresh Spring flowers and small Easter eggs.

Easter themed decorations are a breeze for a perfect wedding! Modern polka dot patterns or stripes are perfect for fabrics, while white baskets full of fresh flowers act as great centerpieces. Fresh rose petals also make for great table decorations. Trees also make for a great decorations, especially when the branches are lined with fresh flowers or small eggs. If a white basket is too ornate for a centerpiece, try filling colorful jars with flower petals as a smaller and more simple substitute.

You can serve traditional appetizers and entrees at your wedding, or you can continue to follow the Easter theme by serving an Easter brunch! Mimosas, eggs benedict, or even an omelette bar are a great start.

How to choose your flower bouquet

It may be one of the generally unnoticed elements during a wedding but believe us when we say that a wedding flower bouquet should also be given importance. After all, a wedding flower bouquet will be what the bride will bring with her as she marches down the aisle. But how do you choose your flowers for your wedding bouquet? HITCHED! Bridal Hong Kong, your friendly neighborhood bridal shop in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, is ready to give you helpful tips on how to choose your flower bouquet.

Check out these easy to follow tips from HITCHED! Bridal Hong Kong:

First off, your wedding bouquet must be right for your body shape. Hence, do a quick check first. How tall are you? Are you thin or do you consider yourself a slightly heavier? You see, if you are a petite girl, you might want to choose a large teardrop or sheath wedding bouquet. These wedding flower bouquets tend to add height so these will help give the illusion of length. Don’t choose flower wedding bouquets that have posies in them as this will only make you look short. On the other hand, if you’re tall, you can choose a large posy or a medium teardrop wedding bouquet. The former will help draw the attention of the people who will look at you to a different focal point while the latter will help draw the eye down. This will help accentuate your height. Meanwhile, if you consider yourself a bit of slightly heavier, you should also choose a large wedding bouquet. You see, if you have a small flower bouquet, this will only accentuate your width, which we know you would not want to happen. If you have a large wedding flower bouquet, though, this will help make you look thinner or slimmer.

Wedding Bridal Checklist

So you finally got proposed to and are now happily engaged. Now the next question is - how soon should you prepare for your wedding? What should be the first few steps to take? As a bride to be, you need to know at least the most basic details with regard to your upcoming nuptials. While it’s convenient to just hire a professional wedding organizer, it will also be for your own peace of mind to also be aware of the things to be done, prepared for and accomplished before your big wedding day. Here’s a simple wedding bridal checklist that you might want to consider.

Roughly 12 to 18 months before your wedding day, you can already choose your photographer, your videographer, caterer and wedding venue. This way, you and your partner will already have a rough estimate of your budget. Also, if you don’t have engagement rings yet, why not purchase them at this time?

Now roughly 6 months before your wedding, it could help a lot if you already have a final list for your bridal party, bridesmaid dresses, florist, hair and make-up artist (make sure that you have set an appointment with him or her for a wedding hair and make-up tes.) and a wedding cake maker. Of course, it would also be ideal if by this time you already have your preferred wedding gown.

With only a few weeks before your wedding day, make sure that you have all other details ironed out. By this time, you’d need help not only from your bridesmaids, family and friends but it would be better if you get advice from a professional.

Quick and handy tips for writing a blog

So you want to start a blog, eh? Want to join this bandwagon everyone else calls blogging? Perhaps you got enticed because of the many perks that a blogger receives or perhaps you just want to share your thoughts online to a wider audience. Or perhaps you want to further enhance your portfolio by adding “blogger” to your resume. Whatever your reason is for starting to write a blog, just remember that there are also certain rules and tips that you may follow.

Here are just a few quick and handy tips for writing a blog:

1. Write less and write well. Yes, there is a difference between writing on paper and writing a blog. People usually just scan through when they “read” online journals. You may want to just limit your blog content to about 250 words. That word count is more than enough. Also, write well. Check your grammar and spelling. Nobody really wants to read a poorly written blog entry. Chances are, your readers will not come back and check your blog again.

2. Sprinkle relevant keywords. Keywords can help attract the visitors - which, of course, you need for your blog. Unless you want no one to come across your blog, of course. But if you’re one of those bloggers who wouldn’t mind earning a little online income on the side, then you need keywords.

3. Write snappy headlines. Don’t bore your readers with long and winding headlines. The shorter, the snappier, the better. Make it as concise as possible and don’t forget to use at least one or two keywords. This will definitely assure you of new or recurring blog readers.

Need Get Well Bouquets for a friend who’s sick? We have the answer

There are times when a family member, relative or friend gets sick. It’s always a sad, unfortunate thing when that happens especially since practically nobody wants to be sick in the first place. We always want the people close to us to feel all right and to always be in the best of health. Hence, whenever one of our own falls prey to sickness or disease and either needs to stay home or needs to check in at a hospital, we always want to show our care and concern. One of the ways we can reassure them of our well wishes and prayers is to send get well bouquets.

But did you know that there are get well bouquets now that do not only remind the sick patient that we care for them but also serve as great sources of energy and vitamins? Yes, you read that right. Get well bouquets that patients can also eat at the same time!

Edible Arrangements Hong Kong has this pretty fruit arrangement called Apple Daisy. It’s a colorful mix of gourmet chocolate dipped apple wedges, strawberries, cantaloupe, grape, pineapple daisies and even topped with a pineapple that’s shaped like an apple! Is that too much to take in? Check http://www.ediblearrangements.hk to see what we mean.

Meanwhile, you can also send a get well soon bouquet called the 1 Dozen Swizzle Berry Chocolate Roses white chocolate. A new product by Edible Arrangements Hong Kong, your sick friend or relative will receive 12 long stemmed gourmet white chocolate dipped strawberries - a guaranteed cheer-upper for anyone who wants to get well. You can order this great get well soon bouquet online. Just visit the official Edible Arrangements HK website.

Chocolate is good for the health

Did you know that chocolate, especially dark chocolate, is healthy and good for you? There may be reservations on your part but really, the truth is, dark chocolate has a lot of health benefits and more and more medical experts say that you should include it in your diet. Just to name a few health benefits of dark chocolate - there’s lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, stimulation of endorphin production (or better called as happy cells!) and of course, it tastes good!

Fortunately for those who want to look for fun and creative ways to enjoy dark chocolate, a specialty store in Hong Kong has come up with two great ideas. Edible Arrangements Hong Kong, which specializes in fresh fruit arrangements or fruits fashioned to look like real life bouquets, has the 12-piece chocolate dipped apples and strawberries mixed toppings box and the appreciation bouquet.

The 12 piece chocolate dipped apples and strawberries mixed toppings box is a delightful combination of green Granny Smith apple wedges and sweet strawberries - all hand-dipped in delicious gourmet semisweet chocolate. The Edible Arrangements Hong Kong Appreciation Bouquet, on the other hand, is a beautiful fruit bouquet whereby fresh strawberries - all hand dipped in gourmet chocolate - are arranged in a keepsake mug. Both fruit bouquets can make either great gifts or regular fare for the home. The tastefully designed fruit arrangements will truly be a hit among friends and family!
