Organic Content is King

Organic Content is King

PRDA is Asia’s leading social media agency, providing weekly content creation, customised for your business, in English, Traditional and/or Simplified Chinese. Our proven data driven process delivers predictable results driven by organic, real people action. Currently, Twitter has about 313 million active users, with 82 percent active on mobile platforms-- and they are only growing larger!

Statistics show that people are about 40% percent more likely to buy from a brand they recognize. This is why sharing information, increasing brand awareness and interacting with followers is crucial to business success. With every tweet your goal is to have your content shared, or retweeted-- so even though tweets allow 140 astute tweeters should try to stick to a roughly 100-110 character limit. If you fill up all the writing space, retweeting becomes overly difficult and your followers will pass over your tweet for a shorter one.

Using Twitter is free, but there are plenty of paid advertising options that can assist you in promoting your business. However, when it comes to social media, realize that Organic Content is King-- the more original content you have, the more visibility you’ll have to your target audience.

Dress for Business Success in Hong Kong and Asia

Even when your job says “business casual”, you should still dress for success! La Elite Fashions has dressed Hong Kong’s most stylish men and women at our shop in Kowloon since 1983! We’d be happy to offer our assistance and advice when it comes to dressing as a professional in Hong Kong, as we work with many people from a variety of different backgrounds, including expats, visitors from around the world, and of course, local businessmen and businesswomen.

Understanding business and workplace culture and etiquette is important when working as a professional in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific area. Business professionals are traditionally well-dressed, tending to dress on the conservative side, and they expect visitors to dress with similar elegance and taste. Business casual is a common form of dress worn these days and typically deemed appropriate for many interviews, client meetings, and office settings.

Office culture typically includes dark suits, ties, and dress shirts. For women dress slacks or skirts are both acceptable. Black, dark blue, and grey are all good choices and neutral colors are generally preferred over patterns, as well as flashy and bright colors. Hong Kong is well known for its “Work hard, Play hard” culture, and business attire is frequently carried over into the evening hours-- so keep this in mind when designing your bespoke business suit. Layers can really assist with this transition, keeping you stylish from daytime to nighttime, from business dinners to date night. Talking with your tailor about how and where you plan to wear your new bespoke wardrobe can really help!

Take note that even in the warmer months business professionals tend to select a conservative silhouette, and in China (and Asia in general) you should also be color conscious because colors can be very significant in the Asian culture. Darker tones like black and navy are associated with professionalism, and adding a touch of red symbolizes good luck. Avoid white clothing which indicates mourning and is used for funerals-- although a white dress shirt, especially under a suit jacket, is typically met with approval.
