Among Hong Kong’s top supporters, is Gay Games Hong Kong 2022 Sports Director, Siu Fung Law. Siu Fung is an exemplary model for all those who live their lives in fear and hide behind the curtain of gender identity. Competing in a female body building competition is challenging, but thanks to determination, education and personal growth, Siu Fung has embarked a journey travelled by few. His broader perception of human anatomy and comprehensive approach towards advocacy of gender rights have enabled him to shine bright under the glimmering stage lights of the body building competition and liberated his sense of gender. Hosting the Gay Games is not only about raising awareness towards LGBT issues; it is also about engaging ourselves in sports in a more inclusive way. As Sports Director for Gay Games Hong Kong 2022 Siu Fung wants to prove that Hong Kong can excel in sports, making a point to the government that we’re more than just a financial hub. He also wants to awaken people's’ senses about the rights of LGBT and transgender community via talks and open discussions.
Hosting the Gay Games in Hong Kong for the first time, will be a never-to-be-forgotten experience to participate. Where people strive for their personal best and feel the inclusiveness of joining sports as well as attending artistic and cultural events together with more than 15,000 participants of the LGBT+ community!
