On Your Mark, Get Set, And Run Up That Tower!

 

For almost a quarter century, the Gay Games have gained a prominent name in the world of sports, free of discrimination against race, gender, sexual orientation, age, and sporting abilities.  They have successfully turned things round for tens of thousands of individuals belonging to the LGBTI community through sporting events held every 4 years. At Gay Games Hong Kong 2022(#GGHK2022), they are going to introduce several new exciting and one-of-a-kind sporting events. One of these games is ‘Tower Running’. In fact, they have formally applied to the Federation of Gay Games to include this unique sport at the Gay Games Hong Kong 2022.

Tower running renders a unique opportunity to the runners in Hong Kong because it takes a lot of endurance, courage and high-level fitness to climb that multi-story building. Tower running is a tough challenge that will make runners sweat and keep them running until they reach the top! More towers rising in cities means more stairs, and this, combined with the trend towards tougher, more novel challenges, has seen interest in tower runs greatly increase. For example the ICC race has seen the amount of runners nearly double from 900 to 1,600 participants since it launched in 2013. If you love running and are looking for exceptionally unique physical challenge, you should consider participating in the Tower Running sport.

Just imagine about how it will feel to reach the top of one of the tallest buildings? Intrigued now? You need to train hard if you want to be on top of the world. Each training session can get your heart throbbing,  thigh muscles aching, and your body pouring out tons of sweat, but if you believe you can do it, you will!  Now go ahead and start training, because Gay Games Hong Kong 2022 will be waiting for you to sign up and participate.
