Cranberries are great summer fruit. They are refreshing and add a touch of tartness to your drinks. Rosemary can help add more flavor to this drink. If you feel like you want something a little spicier, you can add a Habanero chili to the cranberry-rosemary syrup.
Ingredients
- 40ml of Napue Gin
- 15ml of Cranberry-rosemary syrup (recipe below)
- 20ml of Lime Juice
- 15ml of Egg Whites
Shake in a cocktail shaker, then double strain. This cocktail should be served in a cocktail glass. Add pepper and salt to the rim.
Recipe for the Cranberry-Rosemary Syrup
Ingredients
- 100 grams of Cranberries, frozen
- 10 grams of fresh rosemary
- 0.5 kg of sugar
- Half a liter of Water
- Optional: Fresh Habanero Chili
In a good size pot, put all the ingredients in but the sugar. Crush the frozen cranberries a bit and bring the mixture to a boil for about 30 seconds, then lower the heat. Add in the sugar and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. Using a strainer, remove the rosemary and cranberries and then let the syrup cool. This process can be sped up by placing the syrup in the fridge. The habanero should be added with the ingredients before the syrup is boiled. The amount that you use will depend on your tastes, so just add a tiny bit at a time.
