Why You Should Listen More To Classical Music

Is it true that listening to classical music is actually good for you? Yes, classical music does
have many benefits for both our mental and physical health. It can stimulate the brain,
improve sleep, reduce stress and also strengthen the immune system. Be sure to book time in
your schedule this summer to attend The Asian Youth Orchestra’s world tour, with stunning
performances hosted in Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Taiwan and Japan from 3 - 26
August 2018. Here are a few of the top reasons why you should be listening to more classical
music than you have been:

Classical Music Soothes Anxiety
Listening to classical music will give your mind a calming effect, and therefore you will be
able to get relief from whatever is causing you anxiety. Counselors and therapists often will
advise you to play classical music if you or a relative are having anxiety attacks. If you have
watched or attended award ceremonies, you are likely to notice that classical music takes over
the waves to create a good atmosphere for the attendees as they are awaiting the winning
announcement.
Classical Music Boosts Your Brain Power
Listening to a classical music performance before going into your exams room may help in
improving test performance. Several scientific types of research have been conducted to
prove the effectiveness of classical music on your brain, known as the Mozart Effect. While
studying the Mozart effect, the students have been able to memorize and remember better
what they learnt while listening to classical music.
Classical Music Improves Physical Performance
For those who participate in physical exercise, classical music is a good performance
improvement measure, as the person will be able to concentrate on what they are doing at the
physical fitness centers.  Classical music also assists in lowering blood pressure and can help
you eat less! Playing soft music and dimming lights in dining areas has been found to help
people enjoy their food more, eat slower and lower appetite.

Classical Music Helps You Sleep Better
Classical music is wonderful for the purposes of relaxing body and mind before sleep. For
mothers, it is a good soothing tool that will allow the child to sleep faster in most cases.
