GLTA Tennis Tournament is a Huge Success! Out in Hong Kong Open 2017

Hong Kong just hosted its first ever GLTA sanctioned International Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance Tournament! Both ultra successful and fun, the Out in Hong Kong Open 2017 tournament (#oihkopen2017) was organized by Out in HK, the same group behind the successful bid for Gay Games Hong Kong 2022. We are very honored to be a part of the GLTA World Tour and it was truly a pleasure to meet so many wonderful players from all over the world that share our love & passion for tennis. Thank you! We hope that Hong Kong will once again find a place on GLTA's 2018 schedule, so that we can welcome many more players in the upcoming years!

Running from Fri, 2017-11-24 to Sun, 2017-11-26 the Out in Hong Kong Open 2017 tournament was professionally organized by Alex Roberts, Daniel Ou, Andrew Matheson, and Roddick Leung.  There was no stone left unturned to make this event simply outstanding: from ensuring that players have the best facilities such as the renovated locker rooms at Tai Po Sports Ground, to coordinating matches and evening entertainment. There were also on-site physiotherapist’s on-site at the tournament to provide free physiotherapy consults, handy tips and strapping to all players at the Out in Hong Kong Open 2017. Big thanks to Kenny Tang and Eric Fung for their services!

“So long, my Hong Kong brothers & sisters!!! Thank you all for your hospitality. I’ve made some great friends at the event and it has been a great experience. ‘Out in HK Open’ is definitely one of the best GLTA tournaments I’ve ever participated in. Keep up the great work!!!. Now it’s time to return to SF (San Francisco). See you all very soon!!” - Out in Hong Kong Open 2017 participant
