Paris 2018 - Gay Games 10 will take place in Paris, France, Aug. 4-12, 2018. 

Registration is now open for athletes in over 30 different sports.

LGBT+ communities from across the globe will come together this August in breathtaking 

Paris, France for the 10th quadrennial Gay Games. We urge you to register early, as 

#Paris2018 already has over 5,000 athletes registered-- more than previous Gay Games hosts 

have reported this early in the process. The golf and tennis tournaments are already sold out 

and sailing has less than 10 spots left!  

In 1982, the first edition of Gay Games attracted more than 1.300 participants. Now 35 years 

later Paris Gay Games officials say they expect to sell out-- the maximum capacity is 15,000 

participants! In addition, organisers are expecting to host 40,000 visitors and approximately 

300,000 spectators. With over 800 volunteers and a large number of local organizations and 

businesses supporting and offering assistance for Gay Games 10-- this sports and cultural 

event for all is in good hands.

Jean Bouin Stadium

Paris 2018 Gay Games participants and visitors will experience some of best venues in all 

districts of the historical city, most in the greater Paris region but a few will be held just 

outside the area-- like sailing in Le Havre. The Paris 2018 Gay Games will begin with a 

magnificent opening ceremony at the Jean Bouin Stadium (a brand-new stadium of 20,000 

seats) followed by an all night gala opening Party in the Grand Palais, one of Paris’s most 

prestigious monuments with the largest glass roof in Europe.

The Paris 2018 Gay Games welcomes all participants, visitors, and locals for 10 days at the 

City Hall Plaza in the heart of Paris. The first sign you’ve arrived? The entire city will be 

covered in the colors of Gay Games 10!  Over the last 40 years, the Gay Games has focused 

on acceptance of all, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, and sporting abilities. 

The term ‘Gay Games’ can be a bit misleading as this sporting and cultural event isn’t just for 

the LGBT community. It’s for anyone and everyone who loves sports and cultural events!
