recipe is a winner! Scan’s flower-fed Omega 3 pork is amongst the best meats on the market,
and relies on the principles of Nordic farming methods which guarantee the highest and
purest quality pork-- and the tastiest! With this particular cut of Scan pork, you’ll find that
cooking the pork on the bone keeps the meat very moist and tender. With this pork recipe,
you can add a bit of heat (we highly recommend it!) by adding 1/2 tsp chilli flakes to the
sauce. And remember Scan’s flower-fed Omega 3 pork is loaded with high quality fat, so it
always cooks up juicy and tender.
Scan’s Sweet and Spicy Sticky Pork Ribs Recipe
Ingredients
Salt and pepper
1 onion - chopped
2 garlic cloves - peeled and crushed
2 tbsp oil of choice
1/2 tsp chilli flakes (optional)
1 tsp fennel seeds
110g dark soft brown sugar
600g tomato ketchup
110ml dark soy sauce
Directions
Pull your Scan Omega 3 Pork Ribs Rack out of the fridge. You’ll want to leave it out on the
kitchen counter or table for 20-30 minutes to come to room temperature. If not done already,
slice into individual ribs, leaving meat on each bone. Put the ribs into a deep roasting pan and
set aside while you are preparing the delicious sticky sauce and the oven heats up.
Turn your oven on to 150-130˚C or 300˚F.
While the oven is heating up, create your sauce by heating up a frying pan on medium heat
until it is hot, then add your oil, onion and garlic to the pan. Cook until the onion is soft,
about 4-5 minutes. Now add in your chilli flakes (optional), fennel seeds and brown sugar
and slowly stir the mixture on the stove for about 1-2 minutes until the brown sugar has been
completely melted. Slowly pour in the tomato ketchup and soy sauce, till everything is
consistently combined. Now bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce heat and let everything
simmer for about 10 minutes-- until the sauce has thickened. The sauce is done!
Now you’ll pour this oh-so-yummy sweet and spicy sticky sauce into your deep-sided
roasting pan, right on top of the Scan Omega 3 Pork Ribs. Cover the pan with foil and put
into the oven for 2 hours, then increase the oven temperature to 180-/160˚C or 350˚F. Cook
for another 30 to 45 more minutes.
Let your high quality pork ribs rest for for several minutes before serving so fingers won’t get
burned! Serve warm with lots of napkins because Scan’s Omega 3 Sticky Pork Ribs are
